This wine isn't finished there though as ample structure in the form of acid and silky tannin provides great length and intensity all the way to the back pallet...

Henty, Victoria.  Light cherry red colour. Smells of red cherry, beetroot and smoke with no secondary characters present yet. Attack is light yet muscular with sweet cherry fruit, fine tannins, well integrated French oak and natural lively acid.

The complex and fragrant nose shows dark cherry and plum fruit characters, with some attractive spice and earthy characters. The palate is firm and savoury as a result of the whole bunch fermentation and new oak, but has lovely dark fruit characters which will continue to open up over time...

d'Entrecasteaux, Tasmania. Sourced from a single vineyard in the Derwent Valley (Kinvarra), one puncheon from MV6, two puncheons from the mixed clone ‘home’ block, naturally fermented with 15% whole bunches in barrels, no plunging or pump overs, pressed to and matured in oak, 33% new, for 7 months.
