Our task is to discover the genius of the site and of the individual vineyard blocks within and to allow the wines to reveal it. We believe in minimizing sulfur usage and avoiding all additives whenever possible...

Central Otago, New Zealand. This wine has great aromatic complexity: honey dew melon, begonia, orange blossom, lime, lemon zest, under-ripe pear, quince, fern-leaf, moss, the aromas just keep coming. The palate attack is elegant, dominated by great acidity and freshness which are followed by very moderate sweetness, which yields, yet again, to the bracing acidity on the finish...

Central Otago, New Zealand. Notes of both black and green teas emerge first from the glass. Interestingly, the fruit tones of blackberry and morello cherry need some time to show in the glass. These are then joined by a hint of orange zest, vanilla bean, pomegranate and violets...

Marlborough, New Zealand.  Garnet red, with brick hues. Strawberries and blood orange, nutmeg, white pepper, and floral notes. Lovely tropical pinot flavours of sour cherries and spice tobacco and leather. Medium bodied, supported by long tannins, good acid balance, will soften and develop more savoury characters with age...

Marlborough, New Zealand. This Pinot Gris was hand harvested, then gently whole-bunch pressed.It was fermented in stainless steel tank with a small portion in oak barrels.Post fermentation the yeast cells were allowed to settle, and the wine remained on lees for 4 months...

The fruit was gently pressed, cold settled,yeasts were used, some were selected to accentuate the aromatics of the fruit,while some add mouthfeel and texture to the final blend. Some tanks remained on yeast lees and stirred post-fermentation which adds a further textural element...

 

Waiheke Island, New Zealand.  The 2015 vintage conveyed lime, grapefruit, lemon zest and gunflint, lending the wine a pristine citrus and white floral aroma, which integrates beautifully with subtle acacia and cedar notes. This is not a rich, ripe wine; it is a more linear, saline style that will improve for many years. The wine’s trademark zingy acidity and salty finish is present in abundance...

Waiheke Island, New Zealand.  Blueberries and raspberries dominate at this early stage. Flinty aromas keep the bouquet tight, but hint at the promise of longevity. A touch of white pepper and background cedar spice offer more complexity. The palate has silky texture with lovely acidity that provides freshness and balance.
