Viñaspre, Rioja, Spain. Average age of the vines is 40 years and yielding at an incredibly low 25hl/ha. The six weeks of maceration is carried out in concrete tanks for a long and gentle extraction of tannins. The ageing is done in oak barrels according to the vintage and it can last up to 18 months. No yeast addition, no filtration, a slight dose of SO2 to protect the wine during ageing.
