The King Valley is not in the dress circle of Pinot Noir like the other renown pinot noir regions of Australia however there is an enormous amount planted there where it is grown for sparkling base. There are a few sites warm enough to produce Pinot Noir table wine such as this young pinot noir, fresh with red cherry, raspberry and spice. The palate is brisk and sinewy. An uncomplicated style offering upfront, easy drinking.
