Gavi di Gavi is a classic white from Piedmont. Sleek and complex aromas on the nose reminiscent of floral, fennel and a slight spiciness. But also fresh fruit such as melon, citrus and granny Smith apples. On the palate initially creamy with a medium body, then fresh minerality on the long pleasant, energetic finish. A refreshing spring and summer sipper! As you can of course expect with a wine from this high quality estate, this naturally enchants with the finest balance. Made from 100% Cortese.
Brothers, Pico and Vitaliano Maccario, run the estate created by their grandfather, Carlo. Pico, the eldest, devotes himself to the production of the wine, while Vitaliano handles the commercial aspects of the business. They are highly demanding on themselves and have an exact idea of the efforts necessary to achieve the excellent results they obtain. Lavignone is the name of one of the farmhouses that was built on the property in the 1700s.
