Complex, savoury and distinctive with a bouquet filled with scents of Otago and variety, soil and ripe fruit. Cherry, raspberry and plum, dried herb, wild thyme and spices of oak. A core of fruit on the palate is accentuated with acidity, the barrel spices and Otago thyme flavours accentuated by tannins. Youthful, complex and lengthy on the palate with flavours that reflect a time and place, variety and excellent vintage.
It was a great growing season enhanced through our organic and biodynamic practices and Dean Shaw managed to capture the elegance and power from that special year.
Tasting notes: Wild blackberry vipers buglouss, spice and a wetstone minerality on the nose leads to a warmly derived textural palate showing red fruit, persistence, depth and elegance.

with rich spicy/savoury nuances, finishing long and stylish” - Wine Orbit
