Zonzo Estate, Yarra Valley, Victoria.
Led by winemaker Caroline Mooney, Zonzo vintages are made in small batches by hand. Every season is different, so their wines are too. Zonzo make wine how it’s always been done — picked from the vineyard, stomped, shovelled, plunged — all by hand (and foot) in their winery.
Estate Chardonnay 2023
For anyone who likes an elegant Yarra Valley Chardonnay.
A complex, elegant Chardonnay with plenty of depth. On the nose pear skin, lemon zest and background notes of biscuit. A perfect match for Sunday roast chicken with the family.
Tasting Notes
The perfume of the 2021 Estate Chardonnay is complex with pear skin, lemon zest and background notes of biscuits, fleshy white stone fruit and oak elegance. On the palate bright lemon fruit is fresh and invigorating, aiding in the length and persistence of this wine. The texture and detail provided by the combination of skin contact and oak sit nicely with the classic Yarra Valley Chardonnay fruit profiles. A very elegant wine with depth.
