Entrancing nose of wild strawberry and cherry syrup, oriental spice, sea salt and woodsmoke.
PALATE
The complex palate deepens into five spice, truffle, and earth notes, with just the slightest fragrance of earl grey tea. Bright red fruit sparkles among a filigree of tannin. Presence and persistence throughout, with prettiness at its heart.
2020 will be remembered as a very early and exceptional vintage. 2020 was simply perfect. With low rainfall and fabulous weather 2020 will go down in the history books as one of the best on record. In fact, according to Te Mata Estate CEO Nick Buck – this is the best in Te Mata’s history.
