Babich developed the first vineyard to achieve sustainable registration in New Zealand. With our ongoing commitment to protect the environment through only implementing sustainable practices in all our vineyards, it was a logical progression to move to the next step and investigate the benefits of an organic approach to viticulture. Our organic Sauvignon Blanc comes from our Headwaters Vineyard, which is farmed in compliance with organic standards. At Babich we’re passionate about producing the highest quality sustainable organic Sauvignon Blanc – a wine New Zealand can be proud of.
Recommended Food
Try with BBQ’d prosciutto wrapped scallops drizzled with mandarin infuse olive oil. Goes equally well with a vegie burger with salad and feta on the side.

Production Notes
Fruit from our certified organic Headwaters Vineyard was harvested mid to late March. The grapes were quickly crushed and pressed into stainless steel tanks where the juice was fermented at controlled temperatures with a combination of selected and indigenous yeasts to capture the intense varietal flavours. Strict organic procedures were followed at all times. Vegan friendly.

Tasting Notes
Ripe citrus aromas - lime, mandarin - with stone-fruit, fresh herbs and mineral. Good drive and focus. Lime and gun flint with juicy tropical fruits, apple and a mouth watering finish.
