Colour: Vibrant ruby red with purple hues.
Nose: Blackcurrant, wild berries, toasty, licorice and a hint of peppermint.
Palate: A medium bodied wine. A slight tarriness with black cherry and raspberry combines with the mild tannins to make a great food wine.
Tempranillo in Spanish means early ripening and this wine grown on our home block did not disappoint. It was the first of the red grapes to come into the winery. The berries were loaded with colour coupled with enticing flavours which have come out in the wine.
Food Matches: A tapas selection followed by roast stuffed peppers.
