Trimbach Riesling 'Vieilles Vignes' 2018
Alsace, France.  Bright straw-yellow. Subdued, delicate aromas of lime, green apple, wet stone and tarragon. TRIMBACH, Alsace

Jean Trimbach began making wines in Alsace as long ago as 1626. The House of Trimbach is based in Ribeauville. The Trimbach family supervises every single operation, from planting and vinification to selection and bottling, and remains sole proprietor to this day. The family tradition has been proudly maintained from father to son through twelve generations of great winemakers. Today, Hubert and Bernard Trimbach are at the helm, ably assisted by Bernard's sons, Pierre and Jean.

Riesling is with no doubt the King of the wines of Alsace. The wine is produced with 100% Riesling by law. It is with chardonnay the most interesting and finest white grape in the world. Riesling can be dry, semi dry or sweet. Traditionally in Alsace Riesling is produced dry with an everage of 12,5 – 13,00 per cent alcohol. It represents roughly 3500 hectares out of 15.000 total and is a late maturing grape. These grapes were selected by Pierre and Jean Trimbach and picked throughout the month of October.
