Domaine Sigalas
On the magnificent island of Santorini, lies the ancient plain of Oia, where Domaine Sigalas can be found. Here, one of the most vibrant varieties of the Mediterranean, Assyrtiko grows alongside Athiri and other varieties including Aidani, Mandilaria and Mavrotragano.
The estate was founded in 1991, located in the traditional canava (wine cellar) of the Sigalas family. In 1998, a new, modern winery was constructed nearby in a privately owned area. 2003 was a further milestone when it was renamed Domaine Sigalas.
Today Domaine Sigalas continues to implement its plans for development and growth, based on the three principles on which it was founded: a creative relationship with the traditions of the island of Santorini, quality and remaining technically savvy.

100% Assyrtiko
Appearance
Pale Yellow, with green hues.
Aroma
Aromatic, with citrus fruit and minerality.
Palate
Minerality is evident, as a result of Santorini’s unique terroir. Quite "austere” as wine, with the acidity being the back-bone of the wine, allowing it to age. Petrol notes and honey-suckle appear in aged Assyrtikos, similar to the German and Alsatian Rieslings.

Seafood and white meat with light sauces.

Over 6 years.
