This family owned and operated estate, crafts a distinguished line-up of wines from each finely-tuned piece of the vineyard, tended to by Viticulturist Dino Cotsaris. Saturnos Reserva Nebbiolo 2021
In over a decade only five Riserva Nebbiolo wines have been produced. These are the years where we feel that the wines truly reflect the heritage of the variety and the vineyard’s terroir.
Planted in 1995, Longview has one of the oldest continuously producing Nebbiolo vineyards in Australia. With 4 clones in the ground, including the famed 230 and 111 Rosato clone, Longview is committed to perfecting Italy’s ‘King of Grapes’ in a style that is varietally correct, yet distinctly Longview.
Tasting Notes
Alluring and intense fragrance of licorice root and dark cherry with nuances of violets and roses. Spicy and delicious; the palate is medium to full-bodied and complex, with rich, savoury fruit, refreshing acidity and structured dusty tannin. The wine finishes with a dried herbal note, silky and balanced.
