Pale yellow color with brilliant green highlights. The nose is delicate and fresh with fruity and florals aromas. The palate gives lemon and florals hints very refreshing.
This is a zesty wine and it is a fantastic alternative to Sauvignon Blanc or Albarino. Best comsumed in the prime of its youth, when it is showing its full flavours to their best: white flower blossom, lemon freshness, soft green apple.
Picpoul (also known as Piquepoul) is an ancient white-wine grape variety of the traditional and prolific Languedoc-Roussillon region in southern France. The name Pique-poul translates literally as "stings the lip", and is a reference to the grape's mouthwatering acidity.
A perfect aperitif or to accompany seafood, I'm thinking scallops and lobster!
