Peter Lehmann of the Barossa Valley
At Peter Lehmann Wines the art of winemaking goes hand in hand with the many people, stories and wines that make the Barossa famous.
It is now part of Barossa legend that Peter Lehmann established the winery in the late 1970s, to protect the livelihood of growers who were facing financial ruin. To this day over 140 growers, some 5th & 6th generation, supply the winery with fruit from the very best vineyards throughout the Barossa. These amazing grape resources enable Peter Lehmann to make wines for every occasion, each one crafted to deliver on quality.
The Barossa Arts Series
The Barossa Art Series comprises a vibrant collection of grape varieties – Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Merlot, Semillon, Chardonnay, Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Tempranillo and Frontignac.
Tasting Notes
Peter Lehmann made his name with these varieties, and this classic Australian blend of Barossa’s flagship red varieties continues the tradition he set. Aromatic Cabernet meets its match here with the richness of Shiraz.
The wine shows excellent bright red hues and a touch of leafiness from the Cabernet as well as some dark mulberry notes. The palate shows fruit richness and finishes with firm but soft tannins.
