Shiraz's earthiness tempers Grenache's muskiness which softens Mataro's Steeliness.
A blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro with ageing taking place in a combination of new and one year old oak for a period of 6-8 months. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a bright dark purple hue. Inky freshly crushed berry aromas are followed by liquorice, earth and spice. Rich succulent flavours of blackberries, liquorice and ripe dark raspberries swamp the palate over subtle earth with a spicy finish. Chewy mouthfeel with dryish, fine grained tannins providing some firmness and structure. Excellent concentration and depth with a long aftertaste of ripe dark raspberries, blackberries, liquorice and earthy spice.
