The Other Wine Co. is a new venture that aims to make wines from the right grape, grown in the right place. That may sound obvious, but it’s a principle honoured more "in the breach than the observance." Really good matches of variety and place take a long time to become entrenched, but when they do, the proof is in the glass.
Vinification
Hand- picking and sorting. Picking is at ripeness not over ripeness. Open ferments as a combination of whole berries and whole bunches – about half of each.
Maturation
Old French oak.
Palate
Spicy, fresh with red fruits and soft tannins. Approachable and delicious. Medium bodied, elegant & perfumed.
Grown in McLaren Vale, vinified and bottled in the Adelaide Hills. Made by Winemakers: Martin Shaw and Adam Wadewitz.
Drink: Right now is ideal drinking...and for up to another 3-5 years.
