Gemtree Vineyards is owned and run by third generation grapegrowers, the Buttery Family.The family is dedicated to producing iconic wines of the highest quality from their McLaren Vale vineyards which have been farmed biodynamically since 2008 and are now certified organic. They are also passionate about sound environmental 
practices, sustainable agriculture and innovation, both in the vineyards and in the winery, where winemaker Mike Brown pushes the boundaries of experimentation with biodynamic wines and alternative winemaking practices.
"Our Luna Temprana is a bright, fleshy, early drinking wine, similar to the Joven styles of Spain. We called the wine Luna Temprana as Temprana is youthful and early and Luna denotes the wine’s growth via the lunar cycle. Picked on fruit days, naturally fermented, with minimal intervention and no filtration this wine emphasises the true characteristics of the vineyard. The early bottling of Luna Temprana Tempranillo has seen a natural precipitate form in the bottle. Caused by the interaction with Potassium bi tartrate (KHT) this precipitate is visible in the bottle when pouring but it is completely harmless.
Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright ruby with purple hue.
Nose: Red cherry, spice, blueberry, strawberry, cola and raspberry lolly.
Palate: Sweet generous and fleshy. Vibrant red jubes, red cherry and loads of purity! Delicious soft velvety tannins to finish.
