Domaine Combier
Domaine Combier recently celebrated its 40th year of organic growing , making it one of the most experienced producers of organic wines in the area. All the wines produced by Laurent Combier are made for certified organic grapes grown on the 25 hectares of the estate. All the wines are aged in barrels.
Tasting Notes
100% Syrah from 60 years old vines This single plot covers 10 hectares . The wine is aged half in new and half in second fill barrel, and is correspondingly denser and more powerful than its generic sibling. Christmas cake aromas underline the ripeness, but on the palate the tannins are subtle and persuasive.
