Tim Smith Wines
The texture, complexity and delicacy of Tim Smith Wines is attributed to the consistently exceptional fruit which is sourced from individual pockets of the Barossa Valley’s oldest vineyards. These small-batch, handmade wines truly represent this world-class winemaking region.
Reserve Shiraz
"Its too easy to use the term 'Reserve', but occasionally a blend or parcel within the portfolio of Shiraz wines I make demands special bottling. Increasingly, these parcels are coming from Eden Valley as I find more nice little parcels of very Old Vine Shiraz." Tim Smith, 2014
The term ‘Reserve’ really is a hackneyed expression, but this wine really is only made in the greatest of Shiraz vintages. The wine is a usually aged in French oak and spends 2 years ageing in oak, on yeast lees. Vineyard sources change on occasion, but typically the Barossa Valley floor features significantly, along with fringe sub-regions such as Seppeltsfield and Bethany.
