Caprili Wines
The Caprili estate is located to the South-West of Montalcino at an altitude of 335 metres above sea level, and was bought in 1965 by the Caprili family. Today, the Caprili family controls all the stages of the wine making process, from wine production to commercialisation. The estate spreads out over an area of 58 hectares in the southwest territory of the Municipality of Montalcino on the hillside which slopes down towards the Orcia and Ombrone rivers. Of the total property, 16 hectares of the land is covered with vines. Caprili wines are only produced from grapes provided with excellent and originating from the Caprili vineyard itself.
Tasting Notes
Made from sangiovese grosso, the wine displays brilliant ruby colour with violet elements, soft attractive bouquet: substantial and persistent, displays elements of dark cherry and berries. Mid weight with excellent persistence.
