With wines produced from fruit grown in Heathcote, Alpine Valleys, Strathbogie Ranges and extending to Priorat, Spain, Tar & Roses reflects the partnership between Don and Narelle, the multi-regions of Spain, Italy and Australia and traditional winemaking alongside the new.

80% Nagambie Lakes, 20% Strathbogie Ranges.
VINIFICATION
The grapes were machine harvested, crushed and pressed through an air bag press in the protective presence of SO2. Cold tank fermentation was undertaken at between 9 to 12 degrees celcius. After fermentation was complete, the wine was protein cold stabilised, blended and prepared for bottling.
OAK MATURATION
No oak maturation.
COLOUR
Pale green with hints of gold.
NOSE
Our style has a spring flower bouquet of orange and quince blossom plus hints of sweet citrusy pink grapefruit.
PALATE
A delicious mouth filling burst of many flavours reminiscent of lemon meringue pie and Bickfords lime cordial with a crisp dry, lingering finish.
WINEMAKERS COMMENTS
When picked at optimal level of ripeness, the riesling grape has a beautiful dusty pale lemony gold colour, with a sweet musk stick flavour. With care and attention, we aim to retain these characters through to the finished wine.
