‘The Huber Winery in Malterdingen is in the deep South-West of Germany, located on the foothills of the Black Forest mountains between Strassbourg in the French Alsace Region and the city Basel in Switzerland. On approx. 25 ha we cultivate round about 65 % Pinot Noir. For over 700 years Pinot Noir is cultivated in our village first documented in 1285. Cisterciensan monks brought the Pinot Noir tradition from Burgundy into our region…!'
Huber Bienenberg Pinot Noir Grosses Gewachs 2021
The Malterdinger bee mine is a vineyard in the Rhine valley. Of the approximately 130-acre location, 15 acres are owned by the Huber's Winery, which are known as "Great Growth" approximately 10.45 hectares classified. The slope direction is from the south-east with the vines to the south-west.
The average age of the plants is between 2-53 years.
Tasting Notes
This Pinot Noir is marked by red fruits with hints of violets. Equipped with power and elegance, it takes time to reveal its potential.
Food Accompaniment
Recommended drinking with Beef or lamb with a sharp sauce, but also a Casoulett of lamb or venison. Very suitable for mature hard cheeses.
