Now firmly established as the leader in the stylistic re-fashioning of Blaufränkisch, following a model more Burgundian than Bordelaise, Moric has with the 2010 Blaufränkisch Mittelburgenland produced a wine that is the very picture and spirit of the wonderfully elegant 07 with the added benefit of a couple years more experience with the vines, and a couple more parcels to pick from. No new wood, no small wood. Very bright cherry fruit, finely woven tannins and a piquant acidity, long and elegant.
