De Iuliis
The Lovedale Road region of the Hunter Valley is renowned for producing world class wines. In 1987 we chose our property because of its potential to continue the tradition of producing outstanding wines. After three years of soil preparation the first vines were planted in 1990. We now are starting to see the rewards of such careful planing and preparation. With some impressive wins recently at the prestigious Hunter Valley Wine Shows the wines are well on track to becoming some of the best in the area.
Region
Hunter Valley
Variety: Shiraz
Tasting Notes
Appearance: Rose
Aromas: A blend of raspberries and black berries evident.
Palate: Delicate berry flavours with a hint of cherries. A light bodied style best served chilled to maintain flavours and freshness on the palate. Would suit all light styles of cuisine, especially Italian foods. A little spritz added.
Cellaring: Made for early consumption.
This attractive Rosé was given its seductive pink hue after the juice made gentle contact with Shiraz grape skins. It has vibrant raspberry and cherry aromas with a hint of blackcurrant. The palate is light, crisp and clean.
Consumed slightly chilled, with good friends and a wide range of cuisines.
