Peter Lehmann of the Barossa Valley
At Peter Lehmann Wines the art of winemaking goes hand in hand with the many people, stories and wines that make the Barossa famous.
It is now part of Barossa legend that Peter Lehmann established the winery in the late 1970s, to protect the livelihood of growers who were facing financial ruin. To this day over 140 growers, some 5th & 6th generation, supply the winery with fruit from the very best vineyards throughout the Barossa. These amazing grape resources enable Peter Lehmann to make wines for every occasion, each one crafted to deliver on quality.
The Art 'n' Soul Series
Peter Lehmann has led a colourful life. He created one of Australia’s most respected and popular wine brands by defying accepted wisdom, courting near misses and narrow scrapes and never shirking the opportunity to challenge a norm. This range is a reflection of the colour and fun experienced as PL has lived his dream, with all his 'art and soul.
Tasting Notes
High country fruit was picked early to make this refreshingly crisp grigio style. There is a delicate steely edge to the colour leading to an aroma of freshly cut pears. The finish is dry and beautifully balanced making this a wine to sip casually or match with lighter style dishes.
