Pimpernel Vineyards is a family business, and the realisation of our long held dream to develop an iconic Yarra Valley vineyard, capable of producing outstanding individual wines.
Their philosophy is simple – marry a great site with the best varieties and clones. Dry land cultivation techniques produce intensely flavoured wines which fully express the site and its climate. To ensure the best results viticulture is carried out by hand – cane pruning, shoot thinning, canopy management and selective harvesting allow Pimpernel to respond optimally to the nuances of each vintage
This Pinot Noir has a vibrant hue and an opulent, perfumed and unmistakably varietal nose with plums, cherries and ripe stalk characters. This textured and concentrated wine combines supple mouth feel with natural acidity and spicy oak characters, finishing long in the back palate. Pasta, duck, veal or tuna.
