Zilzie Estate
After nearly three decades of growing grapes for some of Australia’s best known wine brands, the Zilzie winery was built in 1999 with the first vintage released under the Zilzie name in 2000.
We’ve combed Australia’s best known wine regions, specifically targeting the varieties they excel at, for exceptional grape parcels to produce these wines.
Selection 23 refers to the tract of fertile land on the banks of the Murray Darling River granted to Don and Ethel Forbes in the early 1900’s. Generations on, the pioneering Forbes family continues to work this prime selection of land, which is now cultivated with some of the finest vineyards in the region.

Fruit parcels were night harvested to preserve freshness, quality and the vibrant, bright characters of this wine. Free run juice is used to create a fine palate structure; to preserve the natural fruit aroma the wine is then cold fermented.
