Vinification
Hand harvested, gently crushed, fermented in small open fermenters, on skins for an average of 10 days. Pressed gently to French oak barrels for maturation.
Oak maturation
20% in new French oak barrels, the remainder in 1, 2 and 3 year old oak barrels, for 10 months.
Colour
Garnet red, with brick hues.
Nose
Strawberries and blood orange, nutmeg, white pepper, and floral notes.
Palate
Lovely tropical pinot flavours of sour cherries and spice tobacco and leather. Medium bodied, supported by long tannins, good acid balance, will soften and develop more savoury characters with age.

Fruit sourced from a number of dedicated, passionate growers. This wine can be enjoyed young, fresh and vibrant, and will develop with age, becoming softer, savoury, and even more complex.
