The Oracle has long been the flagship wine since Kilikanoon first opened doors back in 1998.
In
most years at Kilikanoon, our Oracle shiraz has set the benchmark for
quality and style and has done so since our first wines were released
back in 1998.
The 2018 Oracle has again delivered on its promise,
with the creation of one of the finest and most distinctive Clare valley
shirazes of the vintage.
Low yielding Shiraz, carefully hand selected from a number of
aged parcels from our Golden Hillside vineyards, were fully ripened,
traditionally vinified, basket pressed and aged for 24 months in new and
one year old French hogsheads.
Appearance: Deep red in colour with youthful crimson hues.
Nose: Rich and ripe notes of licorice, dark cherries and mocha chocolate predominate
Palate: A beautifully sculptured and expressive palate, one that
combines spicy plum notes, fresh licorice and French oak complexity.
