The Wine
This Pinot is rich and balanced showing ripe fruit aromas of blackberry and plum. The taste is rounded and long with mellow berry flavours balanced by fine French oak tannins.
The Vineyard
Sourced from the very maritime Mornington Peninsula, this vineyard near Mt. Martha consistently produces ripe full flavoured fruit, rich in plum and strawberry characters with great acid levels and dark red colours.
The Winemaking
Hand harvested in late April, the crushed fruit was cold soaked for two days before fermenting, pressing and transferring to French oak puncheons. After 14 months maturation the was was revatted and bottled.
