Maude Wines
In keeping with their philosophy of sourcing grape varieties from the regions that they perform best, Maude obtain their Pinot Noir and
Pinot Gris from Central Otago and Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough.

This Pinot Gris combines fruit from three of Central Otago's sub-regions, Bendigo, Gibbston and Wanaka. Aromas of white nectarine, pear and honeydew melon lead onto a rich palate filled with flavours of honeysuckle and poached pears.

Tasting Notes
colour: Pale straw with hints of green.
nose: Beautifully floral, rosebuds and blossom scents with characteristic crisp pear aromas and hints of lemongrass.
palate: A rich, voluptuous Pinot Gris, driven by its wonderfully rich fruit flavours rather than residual sweetness. A vibrant entry to the palate is followed by honeysuckle and poached pear flavours layering the rich, viscous mid palate. The wine finishes crisp and dry with long appley acidity and flavours which balance the wine nicely.

General
Hand harvested from selected vineyards in Central Otago. The fruit was divided into 2 lots, the first portion was whole bunch pressed to extract only free run juice (which gives the purity of fruit flavours), the remaining fruit was crushed and soaked on skins for 24 hours before pressing (giving the wine itâ€Ã¢â€žÂ¢s body and viscosity). Cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks, with minimal fining and filtration to follow before bottling early to capture the freshness and vitality. A wine we expect to age gracefully over the next 5 years, developing warmth, richness and complexity from time in bottle. Although a pleasure to drink whilst young, fresh and vibrant.
