Yarra Valley, Victoria. Hand-picked and whole bunch pressed; a portion of juice was run off directly into barrels for wild fermentation. The balance was cold settled and racked prior to fermentation in barrel. During 10 months maturation in French oak (25% new), some barrels were regularly stirred to build texture and complexity.
Bouquet
The Punt Road Chardonnay is made in an elegant restrained style. It shows fresh varietal aromas of citrus and nectarine with restrained French oak.
Palate
The palate is incredibly fine and structured yet not lacking in concentration. Barrel fermentation and lees-stirring have added complexity and texture.
