THE WINE
Supple and seductive, the stiletto glides across the palate with lifted nashi pear and mango over a background of sliced pineapple. Full fruit and rich mouth feel are honed upon the palate with crisp acidity and a final stab of spice.
THE LABEL
The dictionary definition of ‘Riposte’ (pronounced rip-posst) is comeback, reply, retort, or in the context of the sport of fencing a quick counter stroke. After over a decade of confusion about his name, ‘Riposte’ was chosen as an appropriate name for a ‘comeback label’ by Tim Knappstein.
THE SWORD NAME – ‘The Stiletto’ is a small fine bladed dagger used frequently, in past centuries, as a hidden weapon. Not to be confused with the high and pointy heels on a women’s shoes. The dagger was there first.
