The Pepperstone Shiraz is based on ripe fruit, that comes from vines immediately below the sales cellar. The grapes are left on the vine until about 15 Baume, in order to maximise fruit flavour. The wine spends about 24 months in oak, with about 50% of that time in American oak, and 50% of the time in French oak.
Colour: Thick, black in colour with deep red edges.
Nose: Concentrated and powerful nose of chocolate, coconuts, licorice and cassis.
Palate: Viscous with chocolate and coffee bean flavours with a spicy finish. Rich and flavoursome wine with concentration, power and length finishing with soft tannins.
