Clare Valley, South Australia.  Quite simply the finest Grenache from Kilikanoon. It typifies beautifully the opulence and power that only fully ripened Grenache can express. Made in limited quantity from 80 year old Clare Valley fruit that was allowed to reach full flavour ripeness before hand harvesting.

Fermented in small open topped vessels, basket pressed into older French oak hogsheads and allowed to mature for 24 months. This single vineyard wine exhibits aromas of cherry fruits and dark chocolate whilst the palate is broodingly dark and complex with chocolate flavours persisting long after the wine has been consumed.

Made in very limited quantities from a single eighty year old vineyard in the Watervale sub region of the Clare Valley. Fermented in small open topped vessels until dryness, then basket pressed into small French oak casks for maturation for 22 months, before being bottled unfiltered.
