Stefano Lubiana Wines
Stefano Lubiana's sought-after wines are the result of a passionate quest for perfection, detail and uniqueness. Steve and Monique Lubiana’s approach focuses on organic principals, with innovative use of barrel and whole-bunch fermentation and wild yeasts to handcraft a distinctive range of wines. Located at Granton in the Derwent Valley, 20km north of Hobart and overlooking the spectacular tidal estuary of the Derwent River, the winery boasts a family winemaking legacy of more than 200 years. In a lovely piece of 'portfolio synergy' we were able to help arrange for Steve to work vintage in Austria with Gerhard Pittnauer a couple of years ago. Steve has it in mind to plant Blaufränkisch and perhaps Saint Laurent in Tasmania. Wouldn’t that be something! Certified Biodynamic — Tasmania’s first

Tasting Notes
Its point of difference from the Estate label is stylistic; this is made to provide immediate, luscious pleasure. Firm and powdery tannins with a great generosity of fruit flavour.
