An invitation to the first Wineseek tasting of the year.
24 February 2017
Please join me on Wednesday evening 8th March at The Royal Society of Victoria, 8 La Trobe Street Melbourne in the Burke and Wills room anytime between 5.30 pm and 8 pm.
There is free off street parking at the venue which can be accessed from three entries - via Victoria Street, La Trobe Street or Exhibition St. Please do not park in the spots marked for ‘Go Get’ vehicles.
On tasting will be the following range of sensational French wines all available to order at great prices on the evening.
Taste from one of the top Alsace producers the Domaine Joseph Cattin Cremant Brut NV and their glorious Pinot Gris 2015.
From Chablis taste the fabulous J. Moreau & Fils Petit Chablis 2014.
From the Loire Valley taste the Alliance Vouvray Tranquille Les Lys 2016 and their great value D’Annjou Rose ‘Les Legeriens’ 2015.
From Burgundy taste the gorgeous Henri de Villamont Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2014.
From the Rhone taste a biodynamic beauty, the Lunar Apoge Cotes du Rhone Rouge 2015.
From Bordeaux three treats!
The Chateau Bois de Rolland Bordeaux Superieur 2014, made from old vines (vieilles vignes) is awesomely good value.
Haut Boutisse St Emillion Grand Cru 2011, a wonderful example of a Grand Cru Saint Emilion.
Segur de Cabanac St Estephe Cru Bourgeois 2007, a simply delicious wine.
From the Languedoc two sub $19 wines from Petits Detours their Pinot Noir 2014 and a Chardonnay 2014, both excellent drinking wines that defy their prices!
Tasty nibbles as always to accompany the wines and I am thinking some tasty French dishes too!
Please RSVP to yours truly by email [email protected] by phone 0412 631 480 or register on line at
