A Wineseek Tasting Invitation
20 April 2016
Please join us at our new venue The Royal Society of Victoria, 8 La Trobe Street Melbourne in the Burke and Wills room on Wednesday evening 4th May between 5.30 pm and 8 pm and taste an exceptional range of home grown and imported wines.
There is free off street parking at the venue, but please do not park in the spots marked for ‘Go Get’ vehicles.
Taste all the following wines, many may not know of, but I guarantee all will excite your palate, this is range of extraordinary wines.
Ruggeri Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore 'Quartese' Brut DOCG NV - from the premium growing area for Prosecco, this is one of the great examples.
Starborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015 - Best White Wine Buy of the Year - Michael Cooper’s NZ Buyer's Guide 2016, I need say no more.
Tenuta Maccon Pinot Grigio Friuli Grave DOC 2014 - taste a sublime ‘real’ pinot grigio. Unlike most of the wines labelled as this style made from this varietal here in OZ.
Lawson’s Dry Hills Gewurztraminer 2014 - because I love it and there is very little of it.
Xanadu Premium Range Chardonnay 2014 - awesome Margaret River chardonnay - as good as many twice the price.
Bellvale Quercus Pinot Noir 2013 - in my opinion the best Bellvale pinot to date, and that is saying something as they have all been fabulous.
Warramunda Estate Pinot Noir 2013 - a superb Yarra Valley pinot and only a drop of it produced.
Torzi Matthews Schist Rock Shiraz 2014 - the best value shiraz I have tasted in eons, a delicious juicy, peppery, savoury treat.
Castelli Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 - classic cool climate cabernet with aromas of sweet blackberries and cassis with overlaid liquorice and dark chocolate nuances.
Halls Gap Estate Fallen Giants Vineyard Shiraz 2013 - planted in 1969, became a Mount Langi vineyard mid ‘90’s, now under new ownership - this is stunning.
Tenuta Ulisse Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2013 - a gorgeous, silky mouth filling wine that finishes savoury, long and dry.
Plus, tasty nibbles as always.
Please RSVP to yours truly by email [email protected] or phone 0412 631 480 to enable us to cater for you.
Looking forward to your company,
Michael Davey
