Sanguine Estate has just cleaned up at the Heathcote Wine Show with their Progeny Shiraz 2012 winning not only the Trophy for Best Young Shiraz but the Heathcote Grand Terroir Trophy 2013 for the Best Shiraz of the Show out of an impressive 180 shiraz wines.
The Progeny was also nominated for Wine of the Year in Winestate Magazines Sep/Oct 2013 edition claiming 5 stars.
Mark Hunter, winemaker of Sanguine Estate is ecstatic as he is also the maker of the She-Oak Hill Shiraz 2012 that won a Gold Medal at the Heathcote Show.
The wine is a generous but gentle Heathcote characters with mouth filling plum and cherry flavour, super drinking now but will only improve over the next five years.
