Hell of the North & a hell of a wine!

I recently attended a friend’s bar/restaurant opening and this friend who knows his wines plied me with a few glasses from across the range offered on his wine list.
One wine particularly took my breath away, and so good that am the next morning I was on the phone to procure some and organise a tasting with the maker.

The wine was the 2010 Wanderer Shiraz from the Yarra Valley and post vintage time we will have the maker in for a tasting.

The bar/restaurant is the Hell of the North in Fitzroy, definitely worth a visit great food and Mark Grixti the man who knows his wine has put together an exceptionally well balanced, mouth-wateringly interesting international wine list.
We now have the Wanderer Shiraz 2010 available.
